User demand for mobile devices

We recently published a report on mobile messaging among mid-sized and large organizations in North America. One of the questions we asked was about the demand among users for various mobile devices. We found the following percentages of users that are "demand" or "clamoring for" mobile devices:

BlackBerry - 84%
Apple iPhone - 65%
Windows Mobile - 29%
Palm Treo - 21%

By contrast, IT decision makers and influencers view the desirability of various mobile messaging platforms differently. The percentage of IT decision makers and influencers that view various mobile platforms as desirable or very desirable are:

BlackBerry - 78%
Windows Mobile - 47%
Apple iPhone - 34%
Palm OS - 25%
Symbian - 15%
