Barracuda acquires Purewire

Barracuda has acquired Purewire, a fairly recent entrant into the SaaS Web security market. The move clearly makes sense given Barracuda's substantial customer base, its desire for and recent moves into the SaaS market with cloud-based backup services, and Purewire's robust technology. The only sort-of surprise is the speed with which Purewire was acquired - 14 months from startup to acquisition.
