We found that IM is being used, either officially or unofficially, in 84% of the organizations we surveyed and that this percentage is expected to climb to 93% during the next 12 months.
   

  1. Which of the following IM products are in use in your company/organization, even unofficially?

  1. Is IM traffic being blocked by the IT department in your company/organization?

  1. Has your company/organization settled on one or more products as an IM standard?

Among organizations that have adopted a corporate standard, 61% have adopted Lotus Sametime; among these organizations with more than 1,000 email users, 73% have adopted Lotus Sametime.
